Jaw Surgery

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the department that applies the necessary diagnosis and treatment methods for the correction of diseases, injuries and disorders of hard and soft tissues in the mouth, teeth and jaw regions of individuals of all age groups.

Jaw Surgery

The disorders within the scope of the study are as follows:

  • Sine base raising operations,
  • Bone augmentations, diagnosis, treatment and long-term follow-up of traumatic tooth and supporting tissue injuries
  • Conservative and surgical treatment of jaw fractures
  • Orthognathic surgical operations
  • Normal and surgical extractions of teeth, Impacted tooth extractions
  • Dental and zygomatic implant applications
  • Diagnosis and treatment of jaw cysts and tumors
  • Preprosthetic surgery operations

These surgeries are technically very specialized surgeries, but they are certainly not difficult surgical procedures for well-trained and experienced surgeons.

Since it is generally necessary to work from inside the mouth, it is difficult to operate in a narrow area and with many tools and equipment, but jaw surgery is a very controlled and planned surgery.

Jaw Surgery diagnosis and treatment

The initial examination, diagnosis and treatment planning of our patients who apply to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are carried out by the specialist physicians of the department. At the same time, dentists who are doing their postgraduate education in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery also provide examination and treatment services. When additional imaging is required for diagnosis, all referrals of our patients are made by us. After the treatment planning of our patient is completed, an appointment is given for the required treatment procedures.

Jaw Surgery

The treatment of our clients with phobia who hold back dental treatments due to physical or mental disabilities, who have fear of dentists, who cannot cooperate, who have a syndrome, is provided under intravenous sedation and general anesthesia in the day surgery room within our hospital. These treatments are performed by an anesthesiologist and oral, dental and maxillofacial surgeon under appropriate conditions.

According to the needs of our patients whose treatment is completed, a control session is organized at certain periods deemed appropriate by the physician and treatment follow-up is carried out.
